I like to travel when I can. Money permitting and I am good, sometimes at finding good deals. I will post stuff when I see something amazingly good.

Don't forget to put bargain airfares on your Cyber Monday shopping list. Several U.S. carriers have rolled out fare sales today, which is touted as one of the bigger online shopping days of the year. United, JetBlue and Virgin America are among the notable carriers offering one-day fare sale today.

"This is a really, really slow period for travel ... after Thanksgiving and before Christmas," says airfarewatchdog.com's George Hobica. "I think (the airlines are) just looking for an excuse to unload seats during this lull period, and are capitalizing on the cyber Monday theme, which is as good as any marketing theme."

United's sale applies only to tickets purchased today. Fares good for travel in the USA and Canada for flights between Jan. 5 and Feb. 11. The cheapest fares for travel in the contiguous 48 states are available for travel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Fares for travel on other days of the week will be higher. Fares for travel to Hawaii and Canada are valid daily, the carrier says on its website. United adds that "a three-night, Friday night or Saturday night minimum stay is required for travel within the contiguous 48 United States and to Hawaii. No minimum night stay is required for travel to Canada."

JetBlue's sale is a bit more restrictive, but offers fares for either $39, $69 or $99 each way on all routes. Fares must be purchased today and are good for travel starting tomorrow through Dec. 17. Check out JetBlue's website for more details.

Virgin America also has a sale that begins today, and the booking window extends through Dec. 8. Travel is valid Dec. 3 through May 23, though certain peak travel days around the winter holidays are blacked out. Check out Virgin America's website for more details.
