network for insurance
As a work from home mother, there are many challenges. One of the hardest things is that most companies that I work with do not provide Medical Insurance. I have to get my own. Sometimes, I have found that I need to get Temporary Insurance in between jobs.
Is there sort of network of health coverage for work at home moms? How about for single moms? Any tips or advice welcome.

Comment by WhisperingWinds on November 15, 2009 at 10:44am - I work pt as a sub teacher. I am in the same boat. I have some basic basic stuff from a new program the state began. I have looked around myself. Try contacting your state insurance board. Some orgs if you join them allow you to get group coverage which is cheaper via them. See the www.sba.gov for more information. When i got sick recently my primary care dr first did not think it was my heart when i went back for a refill then i ended up in the er. they covered that but not the heart testing. so i had to work out a payment plan. they gave me a cash discount but i still owe them now.
