I agree with Don. Never compromise when it comes to your morals and ethics. Make friends with single parents as much as possible... that's not to say ditch your other friends. Sometimes another single parent can see the world through a similar lens.…

- Anything that makes me laugh, having lunch with the girls, voraciously reading and loving on my three beautiful little girls! In addition, I love sailing, scuba diving and anything involving water. I've been fortunate to travel around the world, but still have many destinations left on my list! Oh, and I *love* to cook.
- What type of music do you like?
- I LOVE music. The quote "Music is what feelings sound like" pretty much sums it up for me. Jazz Fest in New Orleans is on my agenda every year. However, I am a fan of almost every genre. When I'm really down and out about the divorce, nothing cheers me up like dancing to Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive!"
We almost always have music on in the house. My girls are quite the little dancers. They come up with some hysterical musical talent shows that warm my heart!
- About Me:
- I am currently in the process of divorcing. Unfortunately, it started out pretty nasty. After 10 years of marriage, my doorbell rang and I was surprised with divorce papers. Since I have been a stay at home mom for 9 years, I'm expecting some big life changes. We are now mediating, so hopefully we'll find some peace and establish new homes soon.
Previously, I worked in the medical field in Emergency Medicine. However, I'm starting back to school full time to pursue my degree in Christian Ministries. I would like to integrate the two and have the career of my dreams.
The *JOY* of my life are my 3 precious angels. Having little girls is a blessing! We love to play dress up, have tea parties, jump on the trampoline, swim and all of the other stuff childhood dreams are made of. Everyday I'm amazed by how funny, smart and miraculous they are (not that I'm biased or anything). Being an adult is so overrated - kids know how to have fun and laugh!

Swine Flu, Bronchitis, and Pneumonia Oh My!
I just thought I was cranky... and tired. You know as single parents we have all been *past* the point of exhaustion. All week I felt so tired, so, so tired. Of course my stbx called to say he couldn't take the kids for a couple of days, because he was covering for another doctor he works with that had swine flu. Do you want to be on my bathroom wall?
So this is just *crazy* and so unlike me... which is a good thing... maybe I'm too uptight. When I bought the house I am in now, I knew it wasn't "perfect." But really, I'm giving up on perfect.... Yay me! So anyway, my master bathroom has the toilet in a very small closed off space... think claustrophobic. Angel Does Rock!
Can I just say how dang awesome Angel is! She was here for the weekend. When she got here she probably thought, "What have I gotten myself into?" My house isn't fully moved... I didn't have stuff to cook with. It was chaos. But she was fine! Charlotte and Alexa had fun together too.

Moving Day Has Turned to Moving Weeks.
I can't seem to get moved into the new place. It seems like a series of events have happened that have slowed things down. But when I really look at those things -- excuses! Some are valid... like the ex changing his mind about what we are dividing. However, as pathetic as it sounds, I just hate packing anyway... and packing up a ten year marriage is miserable.

When it rains it pours, and it really is pouring!
Most of you have heard my rants about moving... how draining it all is. How emotionally it feels like my spirit is breaking. But I manage to hang on. I have my moments... but lucky for me, I was brought up by one of the most optimistic people you could ever meet. That's what makes this so hard.
