Single Parents by the Bay
For parents who have their children 100%, no visitations or contact with the other parent... Basically they are MIA. How do you deal with it? the questions from others? How do we keep our children emotionally healthy?

- I will try anything once! :) I love great food, cooking, wine (am a Cab girl!), cheese, live music, traveling, making pictures, cuddling with my little snuggle bunny, new experiences. I'll be going to Burning Man for the third time this year. I'm learning to speak Chinese. I am also a fan of video games, geek humor, Thai food, the food network, The Wire .... I am hoping that next on my list is learning to kite surf.
- What type of music do you like?
- I love it all. Anything acoustic would probably be a favorite. I listen to everything from bluegrass to electronic to country to straight up rock depending on the day. Some of my favorites are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Josh Ritter, Birdmonster, Band of Horses, Kings of Leon, Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, Richard Buckner. I must be getting old, because now I enjoy smaller shows and smaller venues much more than huge live extravaganzas!

- Born and raised in Kansas City and still a midwesterner at heart. I absolutely love being a mom. Though I never intended to be doing this alone, sometimes things don't go according to plan .. I'm rolling with it. I'm very serious about my parenting - only the best for my girl! I work in high tech and have done some time making video games and such. I love to travel. My ideal evening out would be a fabulous dinner and bottle of wine followed by some live music. I strive to achieve a balance between a stable, wonderful home life for my daughter ... while remaining true to myself and modeling a life that is full of adventure and happiness for my daughter. I am hoping to meet some other fun parents. Most of my friends and coworkers have no kids and that feels pretty lonely at times!
