Coming Back.....
Wow. I found iheart when my ex and I first split up in May 2008. I just realized it has been awhile since I have spent some time here. When I was on before they were just breaking 300 members. HOLY CRAP!

The Way We Describe Things
I was talking with the girls today in the car and had a startling revelation on how we communicate about things on a five and seven year old memory level. They don't know exactly what things are and who people are until you put into a relation they can associate with.

Moved In!
Yeah! The girls and I are finally moved into our new home. It was a long summer. I cannot find my camera accessories to post any new pictures but will come soon.

Little Limited
I'm a little limited for awhile as I am between houses. Settlement on the old house but the new house won't be ready for another 2-3 weeks, so stuck at Mom's with really slow dialup.

To Be So Loved
Ah to be so loved when you are newly separated and your ex has just gotten the papers.
You stay up until 2:30 a.m. listening to some tunes, packing the house and eating apples and cinnamon oatmeal because it's really hard to settle down to sleep and besides the kids are at their dad's.
Then you wake up at noon the next morning with the dog barking beside you and a pounding on the door. Grab the cell phone to see what time it is and see about eight missed calls from your family. Run downstairs… Continue

My question for you - ( I guess I need some validation) - My ex is/was involved in criminal activity, drugs, etc and in the midst of our divorce, I put in our divorce that he would not be able to have court ordered visits until our son is 13 (he's only 2 now). My ex had the divorce papers for 2 weeks before he signed them and he never read the divorce so I don't feel bad that he didn't take the time to read it. I had to do what I had to do to keep my son safe - I would have been a train wreck otherwise. I just wrote a discussion about this titled Safety Issues with the Ex. What do you think?

I have been there as a father, My ex did not let me see my kids the first X-mas and new years because we had not gotten a custody agreement. But now after 4 yrs things have settled down a bit. It's just not fast enough, and I kind of wish I went with an SLR. I really liked my old 35 mm (Canon AE-1 Program), and it still works great--but the idea of film, when there's digital, isn't very cost effective for me. What kind of camera do you use?
