I am trying to end a mariage. So i have tried to follow the rules. Then today I got an email from the legal aid ppl there. They said this today.
No default divorce. The child is my daughter not his bio child but she is disabled and he signed stuff before to aowledge a bond with her. I had asked him ti dismiss it. He refused so now I am stuck. I tried to offer hm nothng for a divorce. So now I get this. He apparenlty knows this. So I am so fustrated now.
us there anyone else who has had to deal with an ont. divorce that can offer any insight. i was told i needed to know more about the offer to settle process.
i filed an answer.

I have given up on findingl love. It brings me to tears.
A case just like mine was setlled there recently. It now laid my case down firmly. I go back in 2 weeks and it better not snow!!!

Wwo. I just found out that i can use Utah law for the property. I can now get a demand a lump sum for his pension. I asked his first wif3e to intervene and he got mad. SHe now think he has something to hide as well.

I am trying to get an affidavit now from a cop. I was told he was on shift there tonight. They lied. then they kept on lyng then they hared my recorder beep and they realized i was recording them. i told them. they began to change what they said , in the PD in the city where the extb lives. Sounds a bit crazy but I know they lied before. Then they said i was told to do this and that first then they heard the recorder beep and they changed what htey had just told me.
I m gllad i got this little cam corder. They told me to send a reg letter to him. I did in sept before this and it just came back not long ago. the court said pop things into the regular mail. i told the cops that then they said, you must deal with the courts. duh. the cop i needed is not on shift until tues. nice dishonest pd. ugh.
i also foiund out the court there do not like my states divorce orders because they d not allow a loit of bickering and all that and they feel my state is not as due diligent. that ineed they do not accept utah orders unless it is a child support issue but anything else. they routinely reject.
i have a legal datab ase i use. www.canlii.org and the lawyers and courts had told me this. so annoying the good news tiat h can get them to use utah for property law. i discoverd i can ask for a one time lump sum payment of his private pension. new rule. i will take that!

Finally got his former lawyer to drop him as a client. A legal formality. It is how I won my first divorce
Same thing happened. But his lawyer told me he had a bad temper. No, really! Then he said what my ex told me that this filing was org meant to scare me. But once filed it cannot be undone unless we both agreed and or the court took action.
But, he said my ex fired him because the lawyer did not fullly tell him when he field for access or visitaation rights that he then had to pay me child support!
I like this new lady lawyer i just hired. We are tying to not go into court and settle. So we have submitted 2 ideas and if he rejects them when we do go before a judge it makes me look like the good guy. I am doing now what a judge would most likely order first so I am saving time and money. After being told it was my kindeys causing my heart problems a genetic thing that can go on for a long time and not get dx until middle age, has caused my heart to be whacky. Now i just have to watch all my electroylyetes as my system just flushes most it out so I will be on lifelong supplements in high doses to counter the affect. It has caused my heart to be enlarged but it may be rerersable. I hope.
It explains a life long issue with some fatigue and pain and odd sensations i have had. I have ont felt this good in a long time!

YEA his former lawyer just wrote back and he is dropping him. To get itn writng is good.
Mediator lawyer just called she is going to try to contact him and they told me that if he agrees we can get a settlement agreemnt turned into the actual divorce, not one in the same always there, and avoid court altogether.thsi can save so much time and money.

Today i know why we could not dismiss the first filing. Even if he did, he has to pay me cost. Then the bank person I wanted to speak to finally called me back.
They said get to court and to bring up two issues on his property. That he did not submit legal documents me from me. He did some but not signed by me.
The bank then told me about two sections of the law there that can help settle this. They also said to get the lawyer I have to get him sign a letter that we to be divorced and if he does not sign that to add to oi have full spousal rights. If he refuses, to use that in court for the house.
They said the home all depended on two things. one was if my name was on the lease, told that alreayd before he moved and second, length of marriage. I met that by one year.
Got his lawyer to contact him to go forward. I am trying to go back before Jan again If do not postpone again.

FINALLY the laywer I wanted to hear form calls me. He said I can ask to by pass all these conferences and ask for a trial. The courts there do not like this but is being non coopreative. The lawyers said I did all that a judge would have required to settlthe matter. So, that lawyer I am working iwht now I have aksed them to do this. He said keep using email like i have and submit all i have tried to do to the courts, mediation, no money settlement and on and on.

Finally got my records I needed for court Took two and a half months for a process that is supposed to take 30 days.

PD records prove what i had claimed.He lied about being married and got told to I had not broken the law.
Two reports are out right lies. One incident I recorded. Thank god.
The rest now tell me he is mad that he cannot enter the US anymore without court documents. He wanted his pd to change that. Ha. Then via the records I was able to prove has gotten offers to settle but he is refusing.
I not have to go back to court if one of the lawyers I wanted will finally take the caseon full time. He refused before but now he thnks he can two court appearances for me. Good.

Finally making more headway.A complaint I filed. a second one agains the cops yielded this today. One of the cops I was told by himself as a staff sgt. was not, in was a low ranking constable.
He was impersonating a lady staff sgt. I got a lawyer to send them a letter, that is what they do there, and he said they are one of the worse pd for this type of behavior and got a hold of the prosecutors boss there, they call them the crown, and they told me how to protect myself a bit more.
Now the bad news was going to go on mond. but i have to drive from Buff NY to Niagra Falls Cnd and 45 miles moer. They are getting constant snow in Naigra Falls, 3 weeks straigh they said and I am afraid to drive in the much snow that far with my daughter. Not used ot the heavy snow there to drive in so I put it off one more time for 2 weeks.
His ex wfei and i spoke today and she said there must be something or some reason he is fighting back.
I am just happy to know that two of the cops have now been caught lying. I do not trust. this PD.
The lawyer said most people do not do what I do. He confimed that they do often try to scare women off in divorces. That is bad.
an org doing the investigation emailed me back the info today. That is good for court.

My family is going to help me pay the fees for the lawyer I want. They all kept doubling the fees. I understand now why thought. It is because the court may, and I hope it is may, use both Canada and US laws for the divorce.
Due to bad weather too. Niagra Falls and another town I have to pass through as i drive from Buffallo to Canada has not stopped snowing for 3 weeks. A friend in niagra in Canada said there is no more room to put snow.
The weather has remained bad across big parts of the US and I am afraid of being stuck at airport with my auti daughter. So my family said we will give you the money to hire the lawyer.
