Well i've done the online dating sites and have recently met a good guy off of one. Of course I went through a few weird ones, guys only wanting sex and stuff like that, but eventually found someone that I clicked with. I mainly did the free ones because I'm too cheap to pay so mingle2.com, plentyoffish.com or hotornot.com are good places to start and then Yahoo personals isn't half bad either.

Wish you the best of luck on that other things that might work is your local meet up groups on meetup.com there have anything you may be interested in from other single parents to activities you like to do.

I definitely think society is getting away from the more in person time. Look at all the social networking sites (this one). I belong to several. I write a blog and I got my degree online.

But I do talk on the phone a lot! I just had to up my minutes on my phone because I talk so much.... mostly to my mama! :)

I did a couple of online dating sites. Had a lot of bad luck or what I like to call unique experiences. I did find my boyfriend on Plenty of Fish over two years ago and he is the best thing that ever happened to me. I wouldn't have had a chance to meet him otherwise. Plus we got to know each other pretty well before meeting in person.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Online dating is a definite experience.... ha, ha...

Well it is not the same as it was years ago the dating sites try and get the money out of you . You respond to people and they ignore you . So no no luck with dating sites so far.

I tried one dating site, but my heart just wasn't in it. I guess I didn't really like it because most of the responses I got were comments about my looks, and not about what they thought about me as a person.
